Biographies:
Jansen Chua
With over 30 years experience in leading teams and business units in the public and private sectors, Jansen’s forte lies in his ability to connect with people. The ability to connect, understand and shift the mindsets in people are considered valuable EQ competencies an organisation’s leader must have to attract, engage and retain the best people.
His areas of focus are leadership development, facilitation and coaching. As Chairman of the Facilitation Special Interest Group, Adult Education Network of the Institute for Adult Learning, he furthers the professional interests of learning facilitators.
Derek Teo
is a Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding Consultant. His aspiration is to bring out the best in others so that they can bring their best to the world.
He was one of the architects behind the the Land Transport Authority ‘s strategic Student Outreach “Innovators Needed” campaign in 2015, a gamified approach to attract engineering talents to build their careers in the industry. Derek’s experience in Employer Branding makes him the ideal advisor on Organisational Culture and Employee Engagement.
Derek also holds a Bachelor of Arts from NUS, and University of Pennsylvania certification in Gamification.
Danyel Thomson
Danyel is an American qualified lawyer who specializes in labor and employment matters. She advises clients on all matters involving labor law issues, including employment contracts, internal regulations, dismissals, working conditions, and employer/employee rights and obligations. Danyel joined DFDL in Laos as a commercial lawyer in 2007 and thereafter founded the Lao Labor Law Practice Group. Upon moving to DFDL’s Myanmar office in 2016, Danyel founded and led DFDL’s Regional Employment Practice Group until 2018. Now a consultant, Danyel continues to progress the firm’s employment practice while also providing consulting, training, and development in labor compliance and HR issues to companies and organizations. Danyel is also currently a consultant for the International Labour Organization for a project in Myanmar.
